Clinical studies have observed several effects of acupuncture, including increased circulation, decreased inflammation, relief from pain, relief from muscle spasm, and increased t-cell count which stimulates the immune system.

Kathryn is certified nationally through the NCCAOM and is a licensed Acupuncturist in Pennsylvania with the PA Board of Medicine. She holds a Masters Degree in Acupuncture from the Won institute and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Temple University. She has always been passionate about holistic medicine and the body’s natural ability to heal. Combining the theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine with the intuitive depth of Five Element Acupuncture, she creates a deeply personalized healing experience for each patient. She believes acupuncture offers more than relief- it provides an opportunity to reconnect with oneself, regulate the nervous system, and cultivate lasting wellness from within. She has experience treating orthopedic pain, digestive issues, hormonal regulation, mental health support, general wellness visits and more. Outside of her practice, Kathryn finds balance through movement—whether it’s Pilates, yoga, or running—and cherishes time spent with family and friends.

Melissa is certified nationally through the NCCAOM and is a licensed Acupuncturist in Pennsylvania with the PA Board of Medicine. She holds a Masters Degree in Acupuncture Studies from The Won Institute and is currently pursuing her Doctorate . Melissa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communications at Rowan University and has an Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene. She has worked as a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2010. Through her work as a Dental Hygienist, Melissa developed a passion for helping and educating people about their health. She recommends preventative strategies and brings this to her Acupuncture practice utilizing 5 Element and TCM techniques to treat patient’s disharmonies. She has worked in several community acupuncture clinics in Philadelphia focusing on chronic pain, stress, digestive issues, TMJ and preventative wellness. When not seeing patients Melissa enjoys going to Musicals, catching up with friends and going on adventures with her kiddo.
